InSPIRATION

InSPIRED
On the morning of Feb 5, 07, I woke up inspired to find Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.s "I Have A Dream" speech and create an affirmation inspired by its contents. I found the speech online, and over the next 40 minutes I released the parts that were a description of the time in which it was written, and embraced the parts that were a description of Dr. Kings dream of what America could or should be. I re-worded it until it became present tense, expanded it into a Global dream, and with a reminder from Bob Proctor, (The Secret), I expressed happiness and gratitude for having already received it.
By the end I had transformed it into an affirmation of a present and potential reality.
The result is a prayer of intention that has the power to transform our World.
BeCAUSE
According to the Law Of Attraction, becoming a vibrational match to that which we desire, draws it to us.
By asking for what we want, accepting it as already done, and expressing gratitude for having already received it, we become a vibrational match to anything we choose to focus on.
Forty four years ago, Dr. King had much more than a dream, and asked for what was just. Now, with the use of the Universal Law Of Attraction, "ReDEFINING The DREAM" humbly takes Dr. Kings dream to the next level by accepting it as already done, and expressing gratitude for having already received it.
The MoMENTUM
On the same day that I wrote "ReDEFININGThe DREAM", I attended a previously planned meeting with two friends, Ngozi Paul and Gersha Phillips, to talk about working together on a former inspiration.
I shared the redefined affirmation with them, along with the idea of filming the piece being read by an assortment of people, and posting it to You-Tube ASAP, since we were at the beginning of Black History Month.
Both Ngozi and Gersha were inspired, and agreed that the idea was a good one.
The momentum began when Ngozi said without hesitation "let's do this, we can do it this Saturday". After a brief and inspired discussion of the logistics, the three of us went into pre-production mode for the next four days. You heard it right, four days.
The MaNIFESTATION
Over the next four days, what started out as a small project to be shot by Ngozi in my home, became a full-fledged production. We were able to attract the skills of the perfect DP, camera operator, and all the equipment needed to execute a growing vision. We attracted the perfect crew of 10, and cast of 46, who happily gave their time, energy and skill, not to mention their food donations to our potluck craft table. Next we attracted the perfect musician, song, and editors.
All of this we attracted and on a volunteer basis. Our only budget was pure inspiration and a shared vision of the huge potential to effect change on a Global scale.
Very early on the day of the shoot, it became clear to everyone involved that we were participating in something far bigger than we knew. The Universe was clearly backing the unfolding of "ReDEFINING The DREAM", as we were mobilized to create a tool for change that will inspire millions of people around the World.
